Christmas on a Budget: Gift Ideas for the Chronically Broke

It's Christmas time again and you know what this time of year brings. The smell of cinnamon and pine trees in the air, beautifully decorated Christmas trees, delicious foods and fun parties, while the tired crooning of Mariah Carey and her version of "All I Want for Christmas Is You" plays on repeat for the rest of the year. I think it's high time you retired, you old hag.

This time of year is very stressful for many reasons. Most people are trying to sort out their affairs before the end of the year, so everyone is rushing around in the hustle and bustle of the world, all while trying to purchase Christmas gifts, plan time with family, and plan out their Christmas dinners. In addition to allotting funds for your roast beast and Hoo Hash, winter time also brings higher  utility bills due to the colder weather. Money is often tight around my house in the month of December, so I'm a professional when it comes to planning Christmas on a Budget. Lucky for you, I'm not going to keep my tips a secret! To help those of you who are strapped for cash or strapped for time, I have found some great gifts that are not only useful, but are also very affordable. Let's get started!

Rite Aid- Many gifts for the price of one!
My love for Rite Aid has been well documented over the last six months here on my blog. There is a reason for this. They have sales all the time, accept coupons, and usually have more of a selection than other stores in my area, like Wal-Mart.

This week, Rite Aid is running a 50% off sale on NYC beauty products. This is such a great deal because there is nothing in the NYC line that is over $4.99. If you have any pre-teen girls that are starting to dabble in make up, go grab one of everything from the line and use it as stocking stuffers. Now, that is not to say that more mature chicks would not like to get things from the NYC. They have a few hits and misses within the line, like stay away from the eye shadow but their nail polish is legit, but for what you pay, they do very well. I highly recommend their bronzer and eyeliner!

In addition to this sale, Rite Aid is also offering $10 off of any fragrance set over $30. I know what you're thinking --"Drug store fragrance sets are so tacky!" Okay, I agree that they are very tacky, and for the love of God, don't buy anyone under the age of eighty a White Diamonds gift set. What I have done in the past is to go buy a gift set, then break it up and pair it with another item or two. You can also get a few presents out of one fragrance set. For example, if you get a set and it has three different perfumes in it, ditch the box it came with, grab a bottle of perfume, some of that NYC makeup, put it all together in a cute bag with a bow and you have yourself a present that is quality, but won't break the bank.

Walgreens- Gifts for around $10
I generally think Walgreens sucks in terms of the sales that they run, but they do take coupons and every now and then you will find something on sale that makes up for the sheer amount of suckage they force upon us all.  In this week's sale paper, they have fleece lined leggings on sale at 2 pairs for $10. Fleece lined leggings are great because they are thicker... and I wear them as pants. Don't judge me, I look damn good doing it. Walgreens also has their scarves on sale with the same deal, 2/$10. To wrap up the $10 deals at Walgreens, they also have their Sherpa throws on sale for $9.99. These blankets are pretty large and measure at 50x60in, so one of these babies would be perfect for snuggling up on the couch with while watching Fireplace For Your Home on Netflix.

Bath and Body Works- Stacking up the savings!
I love BBW... That would stand for Bath and Body Works, not Big Beautiful Women, just in case you were wondering. There are some great deals at BBW, but you better hurry because the coupon code I am about to give you expires on December 11, 2014. If you're shopping online, use the code WHYNOT10 (in store code: 4761) to get $10 off of a $30 purchase. You can stack this coupon with the sales that the store is already having to maximize your savings. Let's take a look at the deals they are running right now:
-3 wick candles-- 2 candles for $22
-Hand soaps-- 5 hand soaps for $18 or 7 hand soaps for $24
-Wallflower refills-- 4 refills for $20 or 6 refills for $24
-Signature body care items- buy 3 items, get 2 free
Not only are these items already discounted, but the coupon code really takes a chunk off of the overall price. Dare I say that you may even want to keep some of these products for yourself? It's okay, I won't tell anyone that you did.

Ulta- High end gifts for less
Do you have a lady in your life that is worth a little more than the NYC makeup that you can get for 99 cents down at the local Rite Aid? I got your back, boo. Head on over to Ulta's website and pick her up the Lorac Royal Pro Eye Collection for only $28. Included in this collection is a palette with three neutral eyeshadow shades, eyeliner, and mascara. If you order this collection online from Ulta, you also get a free mini Lip Lustre Lipgloss. A combined total on this set with the lipgloss is a whopping $113. Talk about a bargain!

Until December 13, Ulta has their Chi straighteners on sale for only $99.95... but wait, there's more. On the back page of their weekly ad (available on their website) there is a 20% off coupon on Chi, knocking the final price down to only $79.95! Keep in mind that these straighteners retail for $160.
The Body Shop- Half priced body butters
The Body Shop is offering their seasonal body butters for 50% off on their website. The scents included in this sale include Vanilla Brulee, Glazed Apple, and Frosted Cranberry. These retail for $20 each, but are on sale for only $10. These body butters would make great stocking stuffers, or you could even pair one of these up with some fuzzy socks for a gift exchange or Chinese Christmas. The Body Shop also has gift cubes (pictured above) that include two mini sizes items for $9 and $10 each, or two for $15, if you would prefer to give something in a gift set form. The packaging on these sets are much nicer than those you see at Wal-Mart.
Sephora- Sampler sets for the girl (or guy) who has everything
Sephora does these great sampler sets they call "Sephora Favorites." They have several varieties of these sampler sets available, like ones specifically for skin care or specifically for lips, etc. Most of the sets include travel size versions of products, but usually one or two of the items included are full sized, which makes these gift sets worth the price. There are 21 of these sets and they range in price from $20 to $99. My personal favorite of these sets is the Fragrance Sampler for Her. For only $65, you get fourteen samples, each of a different fragrance, and a voucher is included to redeem a full sized bottle of the fragrance you liked best. They also offer a men's version of this gift set with cologne for only $60!

And there you have it, a few gift ideas for the those of us who need some advising this holiday season. Just because you're on a budget does not mean that you can't do it in style. From my family to yours, lots of hugs and love as you celebrate with your loved ones.

Xoxo,
Bridget

Deal Breakdown: Bath and Body Works PLUS COUPONS

Are you ready to score a bunch of Bath and Body Works products for dirt cheap?! I went to BBW last night because I saw that their 3 wick candles were on sale at 2/$22. The candles retail for $22.50 a piece, so that deal alone was a bargain. But wait, there's more! I also used a coupon code that I received in an email for 25% off of my entire purchase, making the candles a little over 8 bucks a piece. But wait, there is even more! There is also a code for free shipping if you want to order these online. BBW is blowing my freaking mind over here.

Whilst I was roaming about in candle heave, I also bought one of the car scent portable things. BBW had the refills on deal at buy three, get one free. I got up to the counter to pay and they told me that the scent portables and refills were actually on deal at buy two, get two free, so I ran back to grab some more. At that price, who could say no?! Obviously not me. I'm a white girl and I need my car to smell like pumpkin spice.

Finishing up my haul, I saw that they had a new fragrance out in a sample size on sale for $5 (Regular $8.50). It is called A Thousand Wishes. It smells amazing and I got so many compliments on it when I wore it today. The full sized bottles are not out yet, but at that low of a price, once again, I could not say no!

Deal breakdown:
2 candles-- 2/$22 (Regular $22.50 each)
2 candles--2/$22
Scent portable-- $4.50 (full price)
5 refills-- $17.50 (Regular 3.50 each, but I got them for $1.79 each)
Perfume sample-- $5 (Regular $8.50)
Total: $71.00 without tax.

Plus my 25% off coupon, making my grand total only $50.88 with tax. I saved a whopping $72.50!

Now I know what you all are thinking... Lemme get at those coupon codes, girl. Well here you go! Enjoy all the savings. This is the perfect time to grab Christmas gifts, boo!

25% off of any purchase:    In stores: Use Code 4628,     Online: Use Code FREEFALL25

Free Shipping on Orders Over $25:    Use Code: FREEBIE4FALL

Money Saving Monday 10/12: This Week's Deals at Walgreens and Rite Aid

It's the most wonderful time of the year (next to the day I get my income tax return, at least), and you know what that means! Lots of beautiful fall weather and hideous children coming to your door begging for a Crunch bar. Good news! All of the Halloween candy is half off right now at Walgreens and Rite Aid. Don't go broke contributing the the growing childhood obesity rate this year. Now let's take all that money you have saved and buy some household stuff with it. Let's go!

Walgreens

Softsoap must be feeling extra generous this week because they have some cray cray deals going on. If you buy one of their 7.5oz liquid hand soaps ($1.99), you will automatically get back a $1 Register Reward to use on your next purchase, making your total a mere 99 cents. People, Ebola is happening! Wash your hands constantly with your 99 cent hand soap. You can't afford not to. See what I did there ;).

Continuing with Softsoap and their fight against the chronically stinky, the other deal this week is that Softsoap and Irish Spring Body Wash, 15 or 18 oz, are both on sale at buy one get one FREE. You guys know that free is my favorite price. I'm not sure on the exact price, but I believe that Softsoap Body Wash is around $4.00 at my local Walgreens, so I all for slicing that price in half.

Speaking of buy one get one FREE, Walgreens also has Sun laundry detergent and Whisk laundry detergent on this deal, no coupon required. The deal only applies to the smaller bottles of Whisk, but you can get the big momma bottles of Sun on the BOGO free deal.

This wouldn't be a Money Saving Monday post without a little dental hygiene. Walgreens is offering Colgate Toothbrushes, Toothpaste or Mouthwash at $3.49 full price, but when you buy one, you get $1.00 back in Register Rewards.

Rite Aid
As always, I have way better deals for Rite Aid than I do for Walgreens, and I even have some products that I have never featured on here before.

Starting out, Playtex Tampons, O.B. Tampons, Carefree Liners, and Stayfree Pads are all on deal at $3.50 each, when you buy 2. When you buy 2, you will receive a $3.00 Up Reward (limit of 2). But alas, there is more. You can use $1.00/1 – Stayfree Product (coupons.com) on the Stayfree Pads (remember to print 2 of them) and pay $5.00, then receive you $3.00 Up Reward, making your final price only $1.00 each, when you buy 2!

Also this week, if you spend $20 on Nexxus, you get $10 back in Up Rewards (limit 2). Here's a deal for you-- Buy 2 Nexxus Therappe Ultimate Moisture Shampoo at $10.99, regular price, then use one $3.00/1 – Nexxus Hair Care Product coupon from this month's Rite Aid Ad Perks (CLICK HERE FOR COUPON), then you will pay: $18.98, receive your $10.00 Up Reward, then walk out of the store with two Nexxus products you paid a cool $4.49 for a piece.

If Nexxus is still too pricey for you, I have an even cheaper shampoo alternative for you. Herbal Essences Shampoo or Conditioner and Herbal Essences Stylers are all on sale for $3.00 each, when you buy 2. I have some coupons for both! Use $1.00/1 – Herbal Essences Styling Aid (coupons.com) or if you need some shampoo instead, use this $1.00/1 – Herbal Essences Shampoo or Conditioner (coupons.com). With these coupons, you will get your products for only 2 bucks a piece. Remember to print two copies of your coupons so you can get maximum savings!

And for those of us with men in our lives, there are even a few deals for them. Gillette Antiperspirant/Deodorant, Gillette Body Wash, Old Spice Red Zone Antiperspirant/Deodorant , Old Spice, Red Zone Body Spray , Old Spice Body Wash are all on deal for $4.00 each, when you buy 2. The savings don't stop there! Rite Aid is also offering a $1.00 Up Reward (limit 2) when you buy 2 items. Let's throw a few coupons on here too and see what we end up with! You can use $1.00/1 – Gillette Antiperspirant or Deodorant (coupons.com), or $1.00/1 – Old Spice Antiperspirant/Deodorant (coupons.com), or $1.00/1 – Old Spice Body Wash (coupons.com). When you buy 2 and use a couple coupons, you'll pay $6.00, get back a $1 Up Reward, and end up with 2 products you only paid $2.50 for!

As always, I have to throw some of the makeup deals on here too. This week is pretty awesome because Physician's Formula (face products only), Revlon, and NYC are a whopping 40% off! With NYC, you also get back $2 in Up Rewards when you spend $5 (limit 2)! OMG YAAAAAS. I'm just saying, NYC makeup you bought for pennies at Rite Aid would make perfect stocking stuffers for any girls in your life. And lastly, all Halloween stuff is 50% off. Okay guys, I have to go now and hit the NYC section and buy everything that has a black cat on it in the Halloween section. See ya later!!

Xoxo,

Remember, to get these deals, you have to have a Walgreens card and/or a Rite Aid card. It just takes a minute to apply for one and it is free.

Money Saving Monday 9/1: This Week's Deals at Rite Aid and Walgreens

Hey Boos,
It's been so long since I have written a Money Saving Monday post. This is partly because I have been super busy and partly because there were no deals worth mentioning here for a few weeks. Good news! Shady's back, and I have coupons linked for you to print out to use with these sales. Let's see what we can get the store to pay us to take this week ;).

Rite Aid
This week, Rite Aid is offering 30% off of all Rimmel cosmetics. Rimmel rarely goes on sale, so I am ecstatic. If you haven't tried much from Rimmel lately, I suggest you check out their Match Perfection concealer and foundation. Their lip products are top notch, as well. Try out their Show Offs if you're in the market for a new lippy!

Physician's Formula is also on sale. Rite Aid is offering that insane deal they do every couple of months in which they offer $10 back in Up Rewards when you spend $15. Most of the PF products are in the $15 range anyway, so it is super easy to meet this limit and get your 10 bucks back.

L'Oreal is buy one get one 50% off with $10 back in Up Rewards when you spend $30. I just went on Friday and bought two new foundations to try from their line, so stay tuned for that review. I only spent $20 though, so I guess I will just have to go back and pick up a more mascaras to rave over. Don't judge me. You don't know my struggle with finding the perfect mascara ;). As always, click HERE to go to L'Oreal's website and get a couple of $1 off coupons.

Good thing I just ran out of body wash today. I bought enough in my last hoarding to last me until Caress went back on sale.  This week, Caress is on sale at 2/$5, which is a good deal considering Caress is $3.97, even at Walmart. Not just the ladies are feeling the body wash love from Rite Aid this week, but Gillette and Old Spice body washes are on sale at 2/$7 as well. Click HERE to look over the body wash coupons and see which applies to you. Sadly, I can never find Caress coupons, which I think is punishable by death.

These next two deals are the cream of the crop, in my opinion. This is because in addition to being on sale, you get Up Rewards back! Maybelline and Garnier are both sale at buy one get one 50% off, but you also get $5 back when you spend $15! That is almost like buy one, get one free if you pick high dollar items like foundations and powders. Continuing with the savings, Neutrogena and Clean and Clear face products are on sale at by one get one 50% off with $5 back when you buy two. Click HERE to go to Neutogena's website and browse their coupon section for a deal that is right for you! Click HERE for a coupon for $1.10 off of any Clean and Clear product. Click HERE to go to Clean and Clear's website and browse their coupon section.

Walgreens
Scope Mouthwash- MONEY MAKER!! To work this deal, you need to click HERE and print the Scope coupon for 75 cents off. When you pay out at Walgreens, you will automatically receive a register reward back for $2.50. Scope is full price at $2.50, making this a 25 cents money maker! I'll gladly let you pay me a quarter to take this mouthwash off of your hands, Walgreens.

Epsom Salt- FREE!! To be honest, I'm not sure what you do with 4 lbs of Epsom Salt, but I'm about to tell you how you can get a bag of it for free. Epsom Salt is full price at $4.00 at Walgreens, but they are offering a $4 Register Reward, meaning that you will pay for your Epsom Salt and they will hand you back store credit for the full purchase price. You don't even need a coupon! So if Epsom Salt is your thing, or you know an old person that needs it for their corns, hit this deal up.

Scrubbing Bubbles is also on sale this week. The deal is you get 2/$6, with 1,000 points back (which equals $1). Click HERE for a $1 off coupon. Remember you can print this coupon twice, making your bottles of Scrubbing Bubbles only $1.50 each.

Bic Razors are full priced at $5.99. Walgreens is offering a $1 Register Reward with the purchase of one pack of Bic razors, knocking the price down to $4.99. Click HERE for a $2 off coupon, which knocks your final price down to only $2.99!

Lastly, I thought I should add that school supplies are majorly discounted at both places right now. Everything from binders, to pencils, to highlighters are less than a dollar. If you're a teacher and need to stock up on some extra supplies, or a parent who wants to go ahead and get Little Johnny ready for the spring semester, you should go check out all the things on sale!

That concludes this week's Money Saving Monday post. I wanted to add in that Walmart, at least my local one, has all of their tights, panty hose, and leggings on sale for like $2! I bought a couple pair earlier today, and they also have their pajama sets on sale for $5. I only bought two pajama sets, but I think I am going to go back and buy a few more to give as Christmas gifts this year. It's never too early to start bargain hunting for the holidays! I hope you guys have a good week and enjoy Labor Day. Talk to you soon!

Xoxo,
Bridget

Money Saving Monday 8/3/14: This Week's Deals and Linked Printable Coupons

Holy matrimony! Do I have a ton of deals for this week. Last week was particularly awesome, but I was on vacation so I didn't get to blog about it. Thank goodness I could make a come back with Rite Aid this week. Rite Aid is having their Eye Extravaganza the entire month of August. If you remember, they had their Lip Extravaganza back in June and I robbed the Revlon section of every Rite Aid between here and the Mason Dixon line with my awesome coupons. Walgreens is merely tolerable with their deals. They are always one step behind Rite Aid, in my opinion and the perks of buying there pale in comparison to what I can get across the street. As always, remember that you have to have a Rite Aid/Walgreens card to use at each respective store, and always print two copies of each coupon that I link, with the exception of the Rite Aid Ad Perk coupons which can only be printed once per account. You may notice at the top of the page that there is now a direct link to www.Coupons.com, so you can access many other great coupons through their site. Also, at the very bottom of the home page, there is a complete coupon center you can clip coupons from without ever having to leave Beauty on a Budget. I know that has to be much more convenient for the lazy folks out there (like me;). Let's get started!

RITE AID
The deal with the Eye Extravaganza is if you spend $30 on eye products or lashes, you will earn $10 back in Up Rewards to use exactly 24 hours later. The good thing about this deal is that most of the lines (or at least the ones I am going to link coupons to) are already on sale, meaning that you too can rob Rite Aid of their products and giggle your way out of the store. First thing we need to do is head over to Rite Aid's website and print some of those Ad Perk coupons. The catch with these is that you have to watch a commercial to get the coupon at the end. Hit play on the commercial and go on with your bad self while it plays and reap the rewards when it is finished!

August 2014 Ad Perk Coupons (Click the link to print your copy)
-L'Oreal BOGO 50% off plus $5 back in Up Rewards when you spend $20
You all know how much I freaking love L'Oreal (even though they test on animals which I hate), but there are some awesome Ad Perks to work with this sale. Look above, you will see that there are two ad perk coupons for L'Oreal. Both are high value store coupons for $2. One is for eye liners, one is for mascara. Did you see the magical words I put in there for you? STORE COUPONS. That means we can stack some manufacturer coupons with those mofos! Click HERE to go to L'Oreal's website to print a $1 off any L'Oreal Product coupon. You can print this coupon twice, so you will have one to use on both an eyeliner and on a mascara with the two ad perk coupons. Also, these are buy one, get one 50% off. Let's do a little scenario and let me blow yo' mind:

Eyeliner: $8.99 (full price)
Mascara: $4.50 (50% off with the weekly sale)
Less $2 ad perk coupon for eyeliner
Less $2 ad perk coupon for mascara
Less $1 manufacturer coupon from L'Oreal (on eyeliner)
Less $1 manufacturer coupon from L'Oreal (on mascara)
Total: $7.49 plus tax after sales/coupons.
Keep in mind, this purchase would have been $17.99  plus tax if you paid full price for both products. Working this deal essentially gets you both products for less than the price of just one of them, and all it takes is a few clicks of your mouse to save you over 10 bucks.  Not only will this purchase apply to the $30 for $10 in Up Rewards for the Eye Extravaganza deal, but it will also apply to the $5 in Up Rewards when you spend $20 on L'Oreal deal. If you picked something pricier from the line, you may even hit the $20 mark for the $5 back. Rite Aid should just go ahead and make me part owner of a store because I'm about to take all of their products. Tell Jim Bob to bring the pick up truck, Mama is gonna need it!

-Almay, Revlon, and Cover Girl BOGO 50% off
Sadly there are no Up Rewards for this deal, but there are ad perks! There is an ad perk for $2 off of an Almay eye product. I couldn't find a manufacturer coupon online for this deal, but I hear that they frequent the Sunday paper, if you're one of 'those' couponers. I would rather sleep than to get up at 8am for a paper, but you do you, boo.

Revlon has the high dollar ad perk for $3 off of a $5  eye product purchase, in addition to already being 50% off. Click HERE to get a coupon for $2 off of any Age Defying product (not just eye products). You could use both of these coupons and still get a good deal because of the already discounted price fro the BOGO 50% off.

Cover Girl has an ad perk for $1 off of an eye liner or a mascara. What cheapskates, if you ask me. Anyway, click HERE for a $2 off coupon on an Outlast lip product. You could grab a lipstick and a mascara, use these coupons and get a fair price because of the BOGO 50% off deal. If I had to pick one of these deals to work, it would be the L'Oreal one. That deal is the filet mignon of makeup couponing.

-Maybelline is on sale at 25% off
I don't know about you guys, but I can never find any online coupons for Maybelline. It's like they hide them next to the Holy Grail and Indiana Jones is your only chance of finding them. As you know, they do have the ad perk coupon for $2 off of 2 eye products. Ehh, I guess that is better than nothing. The 25% off applies for the entire line. You should pick up a couple of their Color Tattoos cream eye shadows if you haven't already. These retail for like $6.99 at my local Rite Aid. With both the 25% off and the ad perk coupon, you could some of the Color Tattoos for $4.24 each, when you buy two. That's a pretty good deal when you consider that Mac paint pots are around $18, and even at the Cosmetics Outlet, the paint pots are still about $12 a pop. Not too shabby of a price for a solid product that anyone can use and that everyone should use.

Bonne Bell, Jessie's Girl, Julie G-- $6 Up when you spend $12
Dude, have you tried Julie G nail polish? I went to a different Rite Aid today than I normally do and I literally stopped dead in my tracks when I saw the colors in her line. If you don't know, Julie G is a Youtube girl who has teamed up with Jesse's Girl and launched a nail polish line. These are the best polishes I have ever used. The colors are all so unique and so intensely pigmented.  I would rate them above Essie, Butter London, or Even Deborah Lipmann polishes. The best price is that they are only $3.99 a bottle. Of course, I would never pay full price for something from the drug store, but I spent almost $30 on polishes today to get the $12 back in Up rewards, and I got a $3 off store coupon for my next purchase over $30 at Rite aid. With all of the Up Rewards and my $3 off coupon I received, I virtually got 7 nail polishes for $12.93 plus tax, which is only $1.84 a bottle. I'll do a review with swatches on my new nail polishes soon!

I did pick up a lip gloss from Jessie's Girl. It is one of the Glow Stick ones that changes colors in the tube. The one I got goes between pink, purple, blue, and gold. On the lip, it only looks gold. I guess that's a good thing. I might look a little like a space hooker if I was walking around with multi colored lips, but you know me-- I'm borderline tacky and I love it!

As far as Bonne Bell, I'm not a 6th grader anymore so I don't wear it. If you have a 6th grader at home, get that brat some Bonne Bell!

If you need some nail polish remover to get rid of all the swatches you did on your nails while you were in the store, Cutex is BOGO free this week.

-Deodorant- A back to school necessity
If you're a teacher, you should work these deals and keep a basket full of deodorant for your smelly high school classes. Both Arrid and Arm and Hammer deodorant are on sale this week for only 99 cents a piece, no coupon required.  Right Guard, Dry Idea, and Dial Acne Care soap are also all BOGO free this week, as well.

While we are on the topic of soap,  Tone and Dial bars of soap are on deal for 2/$4. Click HERE for a coupon that will get you $1 off of two boxes of Dial soap. Caress is about like Maybelline. There are never any online coupons and I love it so much! Anyway, Caress body wash is on sale for $2.99 this week. I recommend Passionate Spell and Evenly Gorgeous. They have some fruitier scents, but I don't think they smell that great. Trust me with my two suggestions for scents. You won't be sorry.

-Select Schick Razors- Receive $5 in Up Rewards when you spend $15
I freaking love Schick razors. I refuse to buy cheap razors because I would rather not slice my legs to bits while I'm trying to do my annual shaving. Click HERE for a bajillion high dollar coupons. Most are for like $3 off a pack of disposable razors. I used to use the razors with the replaceable heads, but those are super expensive and then I started couponing and now I use the disposable ones instead. I rarely find coupons for anything other than disposables, and when I get them for like a buck fifty a piece, I can't really complain.

A couple of random deals you might interested in are as follows:
-Lysol Cleaning Solution is on sale at 2/$5
-Lysol disinfecting spray and Woolite detergent are on deal at +$7 Up when you spend $20 on these products.
-Rite Aid Brand cotton products (cotton balls, cotton pads, all cotton errthang) and nail polish remover are on deal at BOGO free
Pepsi and Diet Pepsi (first person to comment that soda is bad and I shouldn't include it in my weekly round up is getting a swift roundhouse kick to the face, Chuck Norris Style) are on sale at 3 cartons for $10.98, +$3 Up Rewards with this purchase, making it only $2.66 a carton.

WALGREENS
Face it, Walgreens sucks more often than not, so they get no extra effort in their deals. Here is a quick breakdown of the few things they are advertising this week.

-Kool Aid, Crystal Light, or Mio liquid drink mix- pay $3, get +$3 back in Register Rewards instantly, making this a free purchases.
-Glade products are on deal at 2/$5.50,  with +$1.50 RR instantly, making these on sale for 2/$4.
-Crest or Oral B White Dental Care- 2/$6 with $4 RR back instantly, making this deal 2/$2.

And there you have it! Some of the best deals at the drug store this week. If you know of any good coupons or deals I missed, be sure and let me know. Also, if you do a large shopping trip and haul a lot of goodies, be sure and send me pics. I love hearing from readers! Money Saving Monday 7/20: This Week's Deals--Plus Several Linked Coupons To Save You Money

I remember a couple of years ago when I would hear about people taking entire binders full of coupons when they went shopping and I would think "What the hell is wrong with people?!" Now I'm over here like HEYYYY, can I borrow your computer to print more coupons? I maxed mine out.

This week is pretty good as far as sales go! Rite Aid still has better deals than Walgreens. I don't know what their deal is but they are completely sucking in the "Who has a better deal this week" rivalry.

Rite aid
Sally Hansen products are 40% off. This includes cosmetics, nail polishes, bleach, and hair removal creams. If you've been waiting your whole life to bleach your mustache, this is your chance to stock up! Click HERE to go to Rite Aid's website and watch the ad perk they have for Sally Hansen. The coupon you get after watching the ad perk is for $2 off one triple shine enamel. I did find one more coupon. Click HERE to go to Red Plum and get $1 off of a Sally Hansen tool. I tried to find more coupons to work with this deal, but all I could find was a $5 off coupon on the gel manicure set that retails for like 40 bucks and is excluded from this sale. If you're interested in this, which I am not, then head over to coupons.com and print your copy.

Xtra detergent, Clorox bleach, Suavitel, Nice 'N Fluffy and Palmolive are all on sale for $1.99 this week. Of course, this deal applies to the smaller bottles. I rarely ever see the large bottles go on sale, but if you can find household items as cheap as this price, you're better off to stock up on the smaller bottles.

Brawny and Quilted Northern is on sale at buy one get one free with $5 back in Up rewards when you buy $15 worth of these products. Click HERE for a $1 off coupon on Brawny and click HERE to get a $1 off coupon on Quilted Northern. There is something weird about this coupon. In order to get it, you have to sign a pledge to stop wiping your crack like a Barbarian or something. I don't know and I don't want to talk about it anymore. Quilted Northern is freaking weird.

You don't need a coupon for these next sweet deals! Physician's Formula concealers and eye products are buy one get one free. Remember what I told you about buying things from PF? Always look on the box and see if there are any of those pink peel off coupons on the packaging. I rarely see PF coupons online but I see them all the time in the store. Maybelline is on sale this week, too. The deal is that you get $5 back in up rewards when you buy $10 worth of products. There is a limit of two Up rewards per person. You know what that means-- make your man sign up for a wellness card and take his to Rite Aid to get more Maybelline for less. Revlon Colorstay eyeliner and all Revlon mascara is on sale for $5.99. Click HERE to go to back to the Ad Perks page and watch the ad for Revlon to get a coupon. The coupon you get is for $3 off of a purchase of $5 or more on an eye, nail or beauty product.

Body wash is on sale for dirt cheap this week! Softsoap body wash and Irish Spring body wash is only $1.49 with the in ad coupon for $2 off. This coupon is found in this week's weekly ad. Grab a copy of the weekly ad any time you go into a store because more often than not, there is a coupon in there for something you will want.

Finesse and Aquanet is on sale for buy one get one free. Too bad it's not 1994, which was the last year anyone used either of these brands, or this stuff would be flying off the shelves.

Nexxus hair products are on sale. The deal is that you get $10 back in Up rewards when you spend $20. Most of these products are like $19.99 and $21.99 anyway, so it's like getting these for half price!

Gillette Venus Razors are my freaking favorite! I seriously have like five unopened packs right now, but I'll be going to get more with this awesome deal. So they are on sale for  $9.99 this week with $2 back in Up rewards, knocking them down to $7.99. Click HERE for a $2 off coupon, to knock the final price down to $5.99! That is dirt cheap for good razors that won't slice you.

Secret deodorant (my favorite) is on sale at 2/$8 with $1 back in Up rewards, so that makes it 2/$7. Click HERE to get a coupon for $2 off of two deodorants, making the price 2/$5, or $2.50 a piece. Super cheap!

Walgreens
It's almost school time, so this is the perfect time to stock up on Kleenex for the snot nosed kids in your life. They are on sale at buy one get one free.

Covergirl is on a slight sale. I use the world slight because it isn't that great. The deal is if you buy $15, you get $3 back in RR (register rewards) instantly. Click HERE to get a $2 off coupon on an Outlast Lip Color.

Almay Mascara or Eye Makeup Removers are on sale for $5.99 and when you buy one, you will instantly receive a $3.00 Register Reward.

Nexxus is also on sale at Walgreens this week. The deal is if you buy one product, you get 5,000 points on your Walgreens card, which translates to $5 off. When I was in my local Walgreens last Sunday, they had a peel pad up front for Nexxus products. I grabbed two coupons, both of which were $3 off of one product, so you can get up to $8 off of a Nexxus product. Look around or ask one of the cashiers if they have these same coupons.

And there you have it, a breakdown of this week's deals. If you all get a good deal and want to brag about, tag me on Instagram @Bridgetb2011, on Twitter @butterybiscuit7, or post it on the fan page on Facebook at www.Facebook.com/BeautyOnABudgetBlog. I would love to hear from you. Thank you all for reading! I will be back with a True Blood inspired makeup tutorial for you soon!

Money Saving Monday 7/13: This Week's Deals at Rite Aid Only (Because Walgreen's Sucks)

Hey guys,
I cannot even deal with the amount of excitement that Rite Aid's weekly sales ad has given me. I checked Walgreens' ad and it was ridiculously bland. I was so disappointed with them that I have put them in time out and they are EXCLUDED from this post. Get your act together, Walgreens. No one is excited about your buy one get one 50% sale on freaking Fixodent.

Rite Aid
OMG AT THE MAKE UP DEALS! *Squeals

Revlon is 40% off this week. Click HERE for a $2 off coupon on lip color. I got four more of the Color Stay Moisture Stains with this deal and coupons. These are regular $9.99 a piece, but with the 40% off, I got them for $5.99, then with my four $2 off coupons, I got them for only $3.99 each! I am going to do a review of these in the next couple of days and let you all see the colors I got and what I think about each of them.

NYC is also 40% off... but wait! There is more with this deal. In addition to the 40%, you get $2 back in Up rewards when you spend $5 (limit of 2). NYC is dirt cheap anyway, so you can get a ton of stuff!! I didn't see this deal in the sales ad until after I got back home, but I am going to go back and get some of their loose eye shadow, which is bomb ass! They are regular $2.99 each, but with 40% off, they are reduced to $1.79. I plan on buying six of these, which will come to subtotal of $10.74 before tax, but then I will get $4 back in Up rewards, making these only $1.12 a piece before tax! Come to mama.

My favorite detergent sale is also going on again! Purex is buy one at $6.49, get two FREE. What's my favorite price? That's right, free is my favorite price. There is a limit of two per customer on this deal, so just make your fiance go in and buy more for you when no one is looking (at least that's what I am doing).

Clear Scalp and Hair Therapy Shampoo is on sale, as well. The deal is if you buy one at $4.99, you get $2 back in Up rewards (limit of 4). Click HERE for a $1.50 off coupon to use on this deal. In addition to this coupon, there is an ad perk! Click HERE to watch the ad perk video and get a $3 off coupon to use as well! You'll pay 49 cents out of pocket for your shampoo, but then you'll get $2 back in up rewards, making this a $1.51 MONEYMAKER! Thanks for paying me to take your merchandise, Rite Aid!

Dove products are also on sale. Click HERE to go to the offer page on Dove's website to get some coupons. The deal is that most of their products are on sale 2/$7 with $2 back in Up rewards when you buy two, essentially making these products $2.50 a piece. When you use two $1 off coupons, you can get two items for only $1.50 a piece.

Those are a few of the good deals you can get at Rite Aid this week. I apologize that this post isn't longer, but I just watched True Blood and my head is totally in another place right now. (If you watch True Blood, you'll know that Terry Bellefleur made a special appearance and I could not help but cry my eyes out. I also cannot even cope with the amount of hilarity that is Pam and Eric). I have a couple of beauty product reviews and a recipe coming up that I will post this week (when I am not writing True Blood fan fiction), so stay tuned! Hot Deal on Lip Products at Rite Aid! Only $0.79 Starting 07/13/2014

Hey guys,
I just came across next week's sales ad for Rite Aid and Revlon is going to be 40% off! This is one of my favorite sales they have and I am dying to get my hands on some of their newer products that I have not tried yet. I have some coupons for you to stack to get a bomb ass deal!

Revlon lip gloss is priced at $7.99, but at 40% off. Click HERE to get a $2 off of one Revlon lip product. Print it twice so you can get two on this deal. Also, since this a manufacturer coupon, you can stack it with the ad perk on Rite Aid's website! The coupon you get from the ad perk is $4/2 Revlon lip products. Let's do some math:

Full price: $7.99

40% off sale yields new price of:     $4.79
Grab two lip glosses, new total:      $9.58
               Use two manufacturer coupons
New price is reduced to:      $5.58
              Use ad perks coupon, reducing
your price to:       $1.58 for two lip products!

That makes your lip gloss only $0.79 a piece! I'm so excited for this deal. I am dying to try the new Revlon Colorstay Moisture Stains. I think these are priced at $9.99, so not as good as the deal on the gloss, but I will live. If I like those, I will do a full review of them for you all. If I hate them, I'll try to keep the trash talking to a minimum.

What are you all excited to try from Revlon? Let me know! Follow me on twitter @butterybiscuit7 and on Instagram @Bridgetb2011.

Xo,
Bridget

Omg, after such a dud of a week last week was, I was so excited to see all the sales that came out today! There are a lot of good deals at Rite Aid and Walgreens this week, including a few moneymakers. Who wants to get paid to go shopping? I DO! Keep reading to find out how.

Rite Aid
-Tide detergent is buy one get one FREE this week! This deal applies to the 46-50oz bottles. As I've said before, I don't use Tide, but I may just have to go grab a couple of bottles to get this deal. Limit of 2 on this deal (Rite Aid is such a buzzkill).

-Coke products are on sale at 3 twelve packs for $9.99 with $3 back in Up rewards! That makes each pack of pop only $2.33 a piece. There is also a limit of 2 on this deal.

-40% off of Maybelline products and 40% off of Neutrogena products. OMG, I freaking love Maybelline. Have you tried their color tattoo cream eye shadows? I actually prefer them to my Mac paint pots, and don't even get me start on how much I LOVE LOVE LOVE their lip elixirs. at 40% off, I will be heading over there to buy more make up that I don't need. I can't help myself. Neutrogena is "okay." I have tried a few of their products and the only ones I thought were worth repurchasing was their healthy skin foundation. This only because it was cheaper than my Nars foundation I spent like $45 on and looked pretty much the same on my skin. I did find a coupon for their foundation for you all to use. Click HERE to print your copies. Let me know if you all find something good within their line because I have yet to find anything to blow my socks off.

-Tresemme shampoos and conditioners are 2/$8 with $3 back in Up Rewards when you buy two products, making these big bottles only $2.50 a piece. Also, there is a LIMIT OF 4 ON THIS DEAL! Holy shat! Do you realize how much you can get with that? If I used this brand, I would be stocking up and looking like a straight up shampoo hoarder.

-Sticking with shampoo, Clear Scalp and Hair Therapy is also on sale this week. Each bottle is $4.99 with $2 back in Up Rewards, making these $2.99 each. But alas, click HERE for a $1.50 off coupon, making these shampoo and conditioners a mere 49 cents. Remember to print your coupons twice. You can twerk as you pay out. That is a dang good deal.

To finish out the month, all Revlon lip products are $6.99 with $1 back in Up Rewards.  Use that Revlon ad perk on lip color I have talked about all month if you haven't already.

-EOS shave cream is on sale at $2.99 with $2 back in Up Rewards. Dude, you don't even need a coupon for this awesome deal. There is a limit of two on this deal.

-Rimmel is finally on sale! I've had coupons I stole from the display in Walgreen's since May that I have been dying to use. Rimmel and Wet N Wild are both on sale at buy one get one 50% off.

Keep in mind that you can print this coupon twice and you can use a coupon the the full priced item, as well as the free one, making this a kick ass deal for my hairy sisters out there.

-And finally, more ways to make money off of toothpaste. Crest 3D White is on sale for $2.99 with $2.99 back in Up Rewards. Click HERE to get a coupon for 50 cents off, making this a moneymaker! Thank you, Rite Aid for paying for my toothpaste for yet another week in a row.

Walgreens

Click HERE for a $1 off coupon on the refreshers and click HERE for a $1 off coupon on the iced coffees. You'll pay nothing and walk away with $2 more than what you had a minute ago. Thanks, Walgreens!

-Let us not stop the pillaging of Walgreens there. Crystal Light is also on sale for $2 with $2 back in Register Rewards. Click HERE to get a $1 off coupon on Crystal Light, meaning you will pay $1 but get $2 back instantly. I almost feel bad taking all of Walgreens money... Ehh, not really ;).

-Continuing, Gum toothbrushes are on sale at $2.50, but you will get $2.50 back in Register Rewards instantly when you purchase one of these, making them FREE! You don't even need a coupon for this sale.

-Revlon nail polish is on sale at $4.99 with $3 back in Register Rewards, making them only $1.99 a piece. I couldn't find a coupon to use with this deal, but hells bells, just use some of that free money you got from the Starbucks stuff and Crystal Light!

I hope you all find this post helpful and let me know if there are any good sales out there that I have missed or any products you got for cheap that I need to try! Tutorial Thursday: Couponing 101

My most received message has to be "Hey boo, where do you get your coupons?" Half of the time, I get my coupons right in the store! Today I am going to share some of my methods I use to obtain my coupons and hopefully you guys will be able to start saving some cash with my tips.

Peel pad coupons
The trick to finding coupons in the store is to look on the newer displays. If you walk into Rite Aid and you see a new display of some hot new Physician's Formula products or you see that Essie has a new limited edition polish, snoop around and see if there are any peel pads attached. There are almost always coupons in the store for new products to entice you to buy them. If you see a peel pad, don't be a hog and take all the coupons! Take one for now and one for later, no more. Share the savings, peeps.

Peel off coupons on products
These types of coupons are also found within the store. They are attached to the products and can be used on the spot. Be sure that you pull them off as you are paying out to give to your cashier because the Lord knows most people will not go out of their way to save you a buck or two.

Sales ads coupons
As soon as I step into a store, I will grab one of their sale papers or one of their coupon books like Walgreens offers. There are always coupons within the sales papers. These are store coupons, so they can be stacked with manufacturer coupons to get some insane savings. Make it your practice to grab a buggy then grab a sales paper and see how much you can get the store to pay you to shop.

Online coupons
You can also find coupons online if you know where to look. Websites such as coupons.com and Red Plum often have coupons that are printable. You can print two copies of a coupon from these websites (or more if you work in an office with 20 computers but you didn't hear that from me). Ever so often the coupons will reset and you can print more. This usually happens when a coupon expires. The website will replace it with a new version with an updated expiration date. Often times, fan pages on Facebook will also post coupons that are limited in quantity (only 10,000 copies available or something like that). If you see one, print it ASAP as these typically tend to go fast, especially if it is on a hot item.

Store websites also offer coupons as well. Rite Aid and Walgreens both offer an option in which you can load coupons directly on to your rewards card. I think most of the coupons offered for the "Load2Card" option are pretty lame (save $10 on your diabetic shoes blah blah) but maybe someone out there can use it. Rite Aid also offers their Ad Perks too. With these, you just watch a commercial and then they give you a one time use store coupon. They post new Ad Perks every month. Usually, most of these are duds as well (remember the $5 off an at home DNA test coupon?), but they do have usually have coupons on beauty products with these, so I always check them out. Keep in mind that receiving any kind of store rewards, like Up rewards, whatever Walgreens calls their point system, and register rewards are just like receiving store credit AND you can actually make money by using these. For example, an item can be on sale for $3.50, with $2.50 back in rewards, making the item only $1. If you have a coupon for $2 off on that product, then you have just made a dollar! I haven't paid for toothpaste in ages. There is never a reason to pay full price for toothpaste.

You can always go old school and clip coupons from the Sunday paper, but that would require me to do the two things I hate most on my Sunday mornings: waking up early and putting on pants. Keep in mind that you can stack manufacturer coupons with store coupons/Up rewards with an item that is on sale for insane savings. Let me give you an example of what I mean. Just a few weeks ago, I scored 6 bottles of Pantene Pro V shampoo and conditioner for only 33 cents a piece at Rite Aid. This is how I did it:

-The products were on sale for 3/$10, making them $3.33 a piece on sale.
-Rite Aid offered $3 back in Up rewards with a purchase of $10 on hair care
-The bottles had peel off coupons on them for $2 off

BOOM! 33 cents a piece. I spent like $2 total for everything and I won't have to buy shampoo for like 2 years. If you see something that you are always going to use and it won't go bad, like shampoo, toothpaste, or toilet paper, and you catch it on sale, do a little research and see if you can find a coupon to pair up with it. That is the key to couponing, at least for me. I'm still not good at couponing for groceries, probably because no one ever offers coupons for the stuff I eat. WHAT DO YOU MEAN THERE ARE NO COUPONS FOR ORGANIC SWISS CHARD?! The struggle is real.

Stay tuned for Friday's post. I am doing another feel good post that will be sure to put a smile on your face!

Xoxo,
Bridge

Money Saving Monday 6/23: This Week's Deals at Rite Aid and Walgreens

Hey guys,
I'm going to be a little honest here. This week's deals are kind of boring, unless you want lots of dental hygiene products and detergent. Nevertheless, I live to serve. Here are this week's best deals! Remember snitches, you have to have a Rite Aid rewards card and/or a Walgreens rewards card to snag the savings. I have 6 bucks in Up rewards leftover from last week that I plan to put to good use.

Rite Aid
This week, both Crest 3D White toothpaste  and Oral-B toothbrushes are on sale. The deal is if you buy one, you receive $2.50 back in Up rewards (limit 2).  These items are price around $3.49, but you get your Up rewards back, making these items only 99 cents! Oh, I have coupons, too. Click HERE for a $1.50 off of two Oral B toothbrushes. After using this coupon, plus getting your Up rewards back, you'll only have 24 cents invested in these toothbrushes. Know someone with the gum disease gingivitis? You can afford to give them one of these toothbrushes. Mark it off your taxes as a charitable donation. If you're interested in the toothpaste instead, click HERE for a coupon that will save you 50 cents on one toothpaste. With this coupon and your Up rewards, you will only have 50 cents invested! Give someone a tube of this to go with the toothbrush if you're really concerned with their dental hygiene. It will be money well spent!

Continuing with mouth related items, Listerine is about $2.99 this week with a $1 Up reward (Limit 2). On Listerine's website, they have a couple of $1 off coupons on their special offers page. Click HERE to get your copy. I love Listerine. It is so strong and refreshing. It's like a roach bomb for your mouth.

Rite Aid also has a special offer on Pepsi this week. If you buy a four 12 packs of pop, you get them for $2.75 a piece, with a limit of 2 (bummer). No long lines behind people with 7 buggies full of pop at Rite Aid. Apparently, they know you are selling it to your meth dealer for peanuts.

As usual, Revlon is bogo 50% off this week. If you spend $15 bucks, you get $5 back in Up rewards. Check out my post for last week (by clicking HERE) to get a coupon for $2 off any Revlon face product, and a link to an Ad Perk for $4/2 Revlon lip products. You can click HERE for a $2 off any Revlon Colorburst product.

I have an extreme love/hate relationship with L'Oreal. They test on animals, which I hate, but some of their products are so much better than high end stuff that I just can't get enough of it (Seriously, try their Voluminous Carbon Black Mascara if you want your world to be rocked). Rite Aid is running a special and has the following items on sale for only $5.99: Extraordinaire Gel Lacquer, Gold Dust Nail Enamel, and L’Oreal Colour Riche Lip Color (The Lip Extravaganza is still going on, btw). Click HERE to get a $1 off coupon on any L'Oreal Product. Click HERE for a $2 off coupon on the Colour Riche Lip Color.

Physician's Formula eye products and concealers are also on sale at buy one get one FREE! I love Physician's Formula and I think they are overpriced for what they are, but I will be taking advantage of this deal. Also, always look on the packaging for peel off coupons. They are normally $3 off or $5 off, so it's worth searching a little to see if you can find one. I rarely ever seen PF coupons online.

Caress, Dove, and Vaseline are on sale this week for 2/$7 with a $2 Up reward, making these items only $2.50 when you buy two! I could only find Vaseline coupons to work with this deal. Click HERE for a coupon for $2 off a vat of Vaseline when you buy one of the intensive lotions. Click HERE for $2 off any Vaseline lotion.

And to wrap up the deals at Rite Aid this week, you can get a few household items for dirt cheap! These are as follows: Xtra laundry detergent, Nice 'N Fluffy fabric softener, Clorox bleach, and Pamolive dish liquid. They are all on sale this week for $1.99. The sales ad wasn't very distinct on which sizes were included in this sale, but I will let you know after I go out and do my shopping today. Click HERE for a 75 cents off of any Clorox product coupon. That will knock your bleach down to only $1.24!

Walgreens
There's not near as many good deals here this week, mostly because I couldn't find many coupons to stack with the items that are on sale this week. Get it together, Walgreens, although I guess I did abuse you last week when I bought all of your laundry detergent. Whatevs.

Tide laundry detergent is on sale for $5.99 this week. Click HERE for a $1 off coupon. This sale price applies to the 22-32 load bottles. This isn't that great of a deal to me because I don't use Tide, but if you can only use this brand, then maybe you'll be excited. I know a lot of people say they have to use Tide because their snot nosed kids are allergic to everything else.

Tresemme hair products are 25% off this week with a $1 reward back when you buy two.

Softsoap body washes are buy one get one FREE! Ahh, free is my favorite price. Also for bogo free this week is Arm and Hammer detergent. Click HERE for some $1 off coupons to use with this deal. Arm and Hammer is stingy though. It says that you can only print these coupons twice PER YEAR. Yeah, Arm and Hammer. Like you can't afford to give me more that 2 bucks off of your laundry detergent per year. Swerve.

The last thing they have on sale that will be of any use to anyone is Dawn dish liquid. You can get the 9oz bottles for 99 cents. Click HERE to get a 25 cent off coupon, meaning you can get some dish liquid for only 74 cents.

And there you have it. This week's deals at Rite Aid and Walgreen's. It seems to be that middle of the month slow time at both of these stores. Maybe they will have something a little more exciting next week. Speaking of next week, if you shop at Rue 21 and have earned any Rue bucks over the last month, I believe they become active on Thursday. I know where I'll be heading after work. Momma needs some new sundresses!

I hope this post is helpful. Let me know if you know of any good deals that I may have missed and want me to add to this post! Send me pics if you all get some good stuff this week! I would love to hear from you. Follow me on twitter @butterybiscuit7 and on Instagram @bridgetb2011. Talk to you soon!
